With the guidelines of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies dated 26 October last, then sent to the Court of Auditors and to the Central Budget Office for the controls within their respective competences, the sums were allocated (61 million and 960 thousand euro) destined, for the year 2018, to subsidize initiatives aimed at achieving goals of general interest of the Third Sector entities. These may be initiatives of both national and local importance, which provide for the carrying out of activities in at least ten days, with a duration of no less than 12 months and no more than 18.

In fact, one of the innovations introduced with the Third Sector Code is represented by the establishment of a "Fund for the financing of projects and activities of general interest in the Third Sector", set up at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies. The general objectives, the priority intervention areas and the activities promoted by the SB, ApS and foundations included in the ETS must be determined annually, which will be financed within the limits of the resources available on the Fund and through the resources already contemplated by the previous provisions of sector (art. 12, paragraph 2, of law 266/1991, article 1 of law 438/1998, article 96, paragraph 1, of law 342/2000, article 13 of law 383/2000), now considered jointly pursuant to 'art. 73 of the Code.

For the 2018 year, the main objective will be to support organizational skills and strengthen networks with a view to horizontal subsidiarity, promoting the development of participatory synergies between entities and trying to avoid the fragmentation of funding.

The total amount that can be financed for each project will range from a minimum of 250 thousand euros to a maximum of 900 thousand. The deadline for the presentation of project proposals has been set at 10 December.
